SouthWestern Ontario is located in the upper most region of an ecological distinct area known as the Carolinian Zone…stretching all up the Easter Seaboard from the Carolina’s up into the southern most regions of Ontario…Niagara along Lake Ontario. Because of that, it’s said we have more species diversity then even BC on the far West Coast of Canada.
London is situated just on the fringe of that zone…and in London thankfully the powers that be have seen fit to embrace our diversity…:-) in a lot of ways actually…I’m finding out.
